Worship | Christchurch Hitchin

We have Services every Sunday at our Church building – Directions. Join us for a few weeks to get a real flavour for Christchurch: one service doesn’t contain everything!

9am Service

A 30 minute service with a short ‘thought for the day’ and two familiar hymns/songs. Ideal for those who have other commitments on a Sunday or for those who are seeking a service that feels less busy. Holy Communion is usually on the first Sunday of the month. Breakfast is available.

10:45 Service

All inclusive service, no matter who you are, when most of the Christchurch community meet. Minister or Preacher supported by the band & organ. Junior Church as well for 0-18 year olds. Music led by our Music Team. Maybe even some drama, puppets, video and more! Once a month the service includes Holy Communion. Usually finishes by 12noon. Prayer Ministry afterwards along with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits!

6pm Service

Worship that takes a different style each week.
- The first Sunday of the month is either Soul Space (contemplative) or Fresh Ground (cafe style).
- The second Sunday of the month is Healing Hope (prayer for healing).
- The third Sunday will usually be Holy Communion.
- The fourth Sunday will usually be a traditional preaching service.
Occasionally we unite with neighbouring churches in worship or offer more lively and contemporary praise. Once a month the service will include Holy Communion.
